This villa in Bygdøy, Oslo was planted densley with Hortensia to frame the house and the dining area - with the backdrop of a perennial border, providing dense swathes of colour and a mass of spring bulbs. Buxus balls were used to give a sculptural formality to the scheme. The design was chosen to give the garden an informality set against more formal, courtly elements.
